Peace And Happiness: Two Ingredients For Feeling Relevant

As humans, we are all striving for one common goal. Peace and happiness. Each one of us wants to relax without worry. We want to be able to say to ourselves I know that l am seen and that I am heard. I feel at peace, and I am happy.

Though everyone’s version of peace and happiness can look starkly different, the emotional end game is the same. It’s the feeling that you are understood, supported, and free. It’s a feeling of empowerment that lifts us toward transcended heights where high vibrating emotions are easy to connect with. We feel relevant, love is abundant, and humanity thrives. When we are void of these feelings, negative emotions inevitably start to filter in. Discontent, failure, and impatience become the scapegoats for people who lose their sense of relevance.

So how do we stay in that blissful space of relevance?

  1. The Mirror Lies: The very first step is to understand who you are beyond your physical body. Know yourself as soul energy, and not as that body you see looking back at you in the mirror. When you can do this, you will begin to understand every aspect of your existence from a greater perspective. Clarity of who you really are is key to regaining your sense of relevance. And remember, you are relevant! You had very important reasons to incarnate into this body of yours. Trying to identify these reasons when you only know yourself as human is futile. It’s like a pearl in the ocean thinking its perfection lies with the shell.
  1. Be Right Here Right Now: It is equally important to be in the moment as often as you can. In times when stress, anger, anxiety, sadness, or other lower vibrating emotions feel like they are taking hold of you, realize you are in control! You make the choice of how you feel in all moments of your life.

It is helpful to use the following mantra: Right Here, Right Now, Everything Is Okay.

What does that mean exactly? Right Here means the place that you find yourself in this exact moment, whether it’s your car, your office, your bed, your kitchen, in nature. But focus on only a three-foot perimeter around you. That’s your Right Here.

Right Now means exactly this moment. Not five minutes ago or two hours from now. Not last week, or next month. Right Now! Once you are fully aware of and centered on your present moment, take a look around yourself. You’re okay, right? In this exact moment you are okay. Maybe two hours ago you had a verbal altercation with someone on the phone, but right now you’re not. Maybe last week you got fired from your job, but right now in this exact moment the sun is shining on your skin, the breeze is blowing, and you’re eating your favorite food. Right Here Right Now, Everything Is Okay. That’s not to say you should ignore things that are challenging in your life. Do what needs to be done to rectify the situation. But let go of the anxiety that resulted from your initial experience. That emotion was appropriate for that moment.

Right Here, Right Now it is no longer an appropriate feeling. Right Here, Right Now everything is okay. If you continue to live in the moment of negative emotions, you loose sight of peace and happiness. You no longer feel relevant as a powerful creative energy being, a.k.a soul energy. From there you find yourself on a perpetual path of spiraling downward.

Knowing that you are more than just a human body is your first step towards enlightenment. Acknowledging Right Here, Right Now keeps your energy away from low vibrating emotions.

Staying in the moment is a practice, just like yoga or meditation. So practice it often and practice when you are not in your most desperate moments. Check in with yourself by bringing your awareness to Right Here, Right Now. Let go of thinking about the past or the future. Just be Right Here, Right Now. The more often you do this, the easier it will be to summon it when you really need it.
